Location, location,
location. It's important!
Our high speed network is embodied in state of
the art hardware.
Our data center facility is located in what is
arguably the best environment for access to the global IP network.
Our servers are in a major east coast US Class A Data Center
with every major carrier available to us and a network that ensures
your web site(s) or content is fast and available to the Americas,
UK, Europe, Asia and the Pacific Rim.
Our main facility is housed in a private
cage inside the high security, carrier neutral Equinix IBX [Internet
Business Exchange] in Newark, New Jersey, USA. This is a major network
access point right on the Internet backbone and has the capacity
to allow us to scale up to virtually any level. More than we will
ever need.
Due to recent industry events, the financial status of the IBX
centers are monitored, and they are currently blessed with
competent and progressive management. If this were to ever change
we would be notified. It seems we aren't the only ones who think
so.. have a look who some of our neighbors are; About.com - Akamai

Security. It's vital!
In today's world, the loss of data could literally put you out
of business and at the very least cause a major inconvenience. Because
of this we are happy to say that the facility we use is proof against
virtually any type of breach and the multi-level physical security
system ensures the safety of mission-critical network and server
operations. All areas of the data center are monitored and recorded
using CCTV, and all access points are controlled.
· Center is manned by onsite security on a 24 x 365 basis.
· All doors are secured with biometric hand geometry readers.
· Only pictured, government issued forms of identification
are accepted.
· IBX exteriors are fully anonymous and have no windows.
· All exterior walls are bullet resistant.
· All equipment is checked upon arrival.
· Shipping and receiving area walled off from colocation
areas.
· A silent alarm and automatic notification of appropriate
law enforcement officials protect all exterior entrances.
· CCTV integrated with access control and alarm system.
· Access history is recorded for audit.
· Entire perimeter bounded by concrete bollards/planters.
· Fiber vaults are permanently locked with escorted access
only.
· Our 'cage' is an area bounded by steel mesh.
· Cage is further secured with another hand scanner for
entry.
Power and Environmentals. Required for reliability!
The entire electrical system has built-in redundancy to guarantee
continuous operation. The system is N+1 redundant, including each
component within the parallel electrical systems.
· AC and DC raceways with 2N distribution.
· AC power delivery via parallel redundant UPS systems.
· Batteries with at least 7 minutes full load operation
(diesel generators typically take roughly 8 seconds to become
operational); 48 hours generator fuel with multiple contracts
with fuel providers.
· Redundant DC power circuits.
To provide optimum conditions for equipment operation and minimize
downtime due to equipment failure, the HVAC system provides appropriate
airflow, temperature and humidity. Redundancy features provide additional
protection.
The building is also designed to withstand fire, flood and earthquake.
· Fire Suppression: Multi-zoned, dry pipe, water-based
fire suppression system.
· Flood Control: Built above sea-level. No basements. Dedicated
pump rooms.
· Earthquake: Structural systems meet or exceed seismic
design requirements.
Hardware. Only the best!
We are currently connected via two high quality carrier IP
networks, Internap & NAC.net [for redundancy], however, we have
direct access to all major carriers who peer at this IBX [should
it become necessary to change or add to our connection]. We
run fiber from our cage less than 300 feet to the N.A.P
[Network Access Point]. We can accommodate connection speeds from
10/100 to GigE [Gigabit Ethernet], so no matter what size application
or traffic load you have, we're sure we can handle it.
We employ a number of proactive measures to prevent and/or control
DDoS attacks [Distributed Denial of Service, SYN floods etc].
