I. Description of Information.

When you register for one of our services we ask you to supply some details which are used for your identification by us. These may include your full name, your age, your e-mail address, your postal and physical address, your telephone and/or fax number and your credit card details. We do require that you truthfully provide this information if you wish to use our web site and services. We do not want to deal anonymously.

We may ask you for other details about yourself, including information that shows us your demographic status. You are not required to give us this information if you do not wish to. When you visit our site we use tracking software which is commonly and readily available to all web sites. This tracking software provides us with information about the number of people visiting our site and the pages that they look at. It also provides information about the length of time they spend on each page they view. Other information that the tracking software provides includes your IP address, which is usually the address of your ISP's computer.

We offer chat and web boards as discussion forums but we do not take any information about you other than:

       a. that which is freely given by you when asked from time to time, in the form of various promotions and requests for feedback.
       b. your e-mail address and name or nickname, necessary for you to participate normally in the discussions or conversations.

Other than information acquired via the site tracking software we do not currently use 'cookies' or other hidden devices to obtain and store information about you. We offer certain goods and/or services for sale from Ground Zero Hosting web sites which require payment by credit card. When you purchase goods and or services from us using your credit card, we open an account for you in various parts of our system. The accounts that refer to our financial transactions, that is any transaction where you ask us to provide a service or supply goods to you, or both, are kept on highly secure servers.

You can access your 'real time' account information at any time using a unique log in ID and password which is supplied to you when we open your account. Any information gathered for billing or account purposes is held safely and securely and cannot be accessed by other than authorized personnel and will NEVER be provided to any third party for any reason except if required by a court order or a recognized law enforcement agency.

We also engage third parties to gather the relevant information required for us to receive payment from time to time. These third parties conduct safe, secure transactions using the most advanced available encryption technology and are chosen by us for their size, integrity, length of time in business and historical capacity to fulfill their obligations to both parties. NO EMPLOYEE, AGENT OR REPRESENTATIVE OF GROUND ZERO HOSTING HAS THE RIGHT OR NEED TO ASK YOU TO PROVIDE THIS INFORMATION (other than via payment links from our web site) AND SHOULD THIS OCCUR WE ASK THAT YOU PROVIDE DETAILS IMMEDIATELY TO THE ABUSE EMAIL ADDRESS FOUND HERE.

II. How we use or share the information we collect.

Ground Zero Hosting uses information collected from you in different ways. As mentioned above, we do not want to deal with you anonymously. We require that you truthfully state your age as the use of certain services by minors and children are not allowed. Registration details given by you for our web hosting services are stored securely in a database. We make sure that sensitive information, such as your credit card details and home address is encrypted. There is, unfortunately, the slight possibility that information sent by e-mail can be accessed by third parties due to many factors, including browser security. There is no more or less risk of this occurring with Ground Zero Hosting than any other site on the Internet. We will NEVER give this information to any other party for commercial reasons unless we have your written (e-mail) permission to do so.

SPECIAL NOTE: If we are required by a recognized law enforcement agency acting through a competent court to provide them the details you have given us, we will seek our own counsel prior to delivering the information. Please understand that we wish to abide by the various international laws governing our use of the internet and www and we will not tolerate deliberate abuse of any of our services. If we require demographic information about you we will ask you with a new and separate request. We will tell you at the time of that request why we want the information and you may choose whether or not to give it to us. We may also offer incentives for you to provide such information. We will not use the information given for registration for any purpose other than those matters connected directly with our existing provider/customer relationship. We support the concept of 'opt-in' & 'opt-out' mailings and we ABHOR unsolicited e-mail (SPAM, UCE etc). Information gathered by our tracking software is used solely by us in making decisions about the content of Ground Zero Hosting web sites. We want to know how popular or otherwise any particular pages are and in what geographical locations our visitors are situated. This information allows us to style the content of our site to best suit our users.

III. Your options.

Provided that you truthfully record your name and contact details when registering for our services you need not provide any other information unless you choose to. If you do choose to provide further information to us for commercial and marketing purposes you can 'opt out' of this at any time. You must contact us, by e-mail, and request that we no longer use your details for such purposes and we will happily adjust our records accordingly. If you have provided, through us, such details to third parties not under our control we cannot guarantee that those parties will immediately cease using your information. You can change or update certain information we have about you on record by accessing your account using your unique login ID and your password. This is a securely encrypted service.

IV. More information.

At this time all enquiries regarding our policy on matters of privacy should be directed via e-mail to the privacy address listed on our contacts page. We will respond promptly to any request for further information and welcome such enquiries. This web site is operated by a small but very competent number of people and we unfortunately do not have a dedicated customer service department for administrative matters. Your communication will be read and dealt with by the principals and owners of this site until further notice.

V. Security.

All Credit Card information provided by you through this site is as secure as current technology will permit and employs the industry standard encryption protocol, SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). All transactions are processed using standard merchant card services or by third parties whose primary activity is the secure processing of credit card payments. When you choose to make a payment you are transferred to a secure area. No employee of ours has the ability to use your information for any purpose. Information given to us for other purposes may also be provided via SSL and we will indicate the security level of your submission of information where appropriate.

VI. Updates.

This privacy policy may be altered, changed or updated at any time. Please come to this page from time to time to read our current policy. Should any significant or major changes to our policy occur they will be referred to on the homepages of our sites at the time.
